Looking forward to Fall

Fall is my favourite time of the year. And although I know it won't last long and will be swiftly followed by the cold and snow of Winter, I look forward to the gorgeous colours and crisp weather that Autumn brings.

 It's still unusually warm here in England and I spotted this beautiful butterfly while my daughter was having her riding lesson and although I only had my phone with me just had to take a snap and share it with you.

Those colours make me want to go and update my fall wardrobe...

I can't wait!

Brrrr, it's still freezing here and I'm sick of spending my days in jeans, boots and thermals. I'm hankering for the days of spring, the sun shining and the birds singing and the opportunity to leave the house without wearing 12 layers! Until then I am doing my best to feel better by adopting the look I like to call 

'Granny Chic'...

The basic idea is to wrap up warm, while still looking effortlessly feminine.

Most of Britain is under a thick blanket of snow at the moment. It looks beautiful but I must confess, I prefer to stay inside under these conditions. A cosy fire and a good book and I'm happy...
